Arthur A. Hamilton

Arthur A. Hamilton, age 75, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Hospice Savannah.

The lifelong Savannah resident attended public schools in Savannah. In 1949 he joined the 118th Field Artillery and later served in the 165th Georgia Air National Guard, from which he retired following thirty-five years of service. In his younger years he attended St. John’s Episcopal Church with his family.

He is survived by one brother, George D. Hamilton of Savannah; one sister, Mrs. Barbara H. Davis of Savannah; ten nieces and nephews, Raymond S. Keyes, Mary Ann Johnson, Barbara D. Mason, Rose Ann K. Randolph, Joseph C. Davis Jr., Jane H. Boatright, Phillips D. Hamilton II, Betty H. Scott, Patricia H. Stacy and Diane H. Lightsey.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with The Reverend Curtis Mears officiating.

Interment will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
